Taj Mahal – regarded as the finest example of Mughal architecture, that combines elements from Persian, Ottoman Turkic and Indian architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Construction of Taj Mahal was began around 1632 and was completed around 1653. The construction was entrusted to a board of architects under imperial supervision of Abdul-Karim Ma’mur Khan, Makramat Khan and Ustad Ahmad Lahauri – the principal designer.
