Being a part of Aravali Mountain Range, the area of Sariska is rich in mineral resources, such as copper.
Some of the wildlife found in the Sariska Tiger Reserve is: Bengal Tiger, leopard, jungle cat, caracal, striped hyna, golden jackal, chital, sambhar, nilgai, chinkara, four-horned antelope (Chousingha), wild boar, hare, hunuman Langur, Rhesus monkeys and plenty of bird species and raptiles.
In birds – grey partridge, bush quail, sand grouse, tree pie, golden-backed woodpacker, crested serpent eagle and the Great Indian Horned Owl.
